A Little About Us:
Spring Sheet Metal and Roofing (SSM&RC) was founded in Rochester, New York in 1910 by Moses Benjamin Spring and has had an enduring history in both Commercial Roofing and Sheet Metal projects over that time.
For more than 90 years the name Spring Sheet Metal and Roofing has been associated with Quality and Professionalism in the Upstate New York area. And a change in ownership a few years back brought new investments in equipment and computer systems that will help keep SSM&RC at the forefront of our industry through the twenty first century.
Today, over thirty-five individuals are employeed at SSM&RC, all with the same commitment to quality, customer service, and community.

The Owner:
James R. Erb is the owner of the company, having purchased it in 2001. With over 25 years in the industry, Mr Erb has seen it all in regards to roofing. After working his way up the ranks at a local roofing company, and helping to generate year after year of increasing sales and profits, Mr Erb decided to strike out on his own by purchasing SSM&RC.
His first task was to upgrade the company's technology by implementing new computer systems for Accounting and Job Cost estimating and tracking. Next in line was the purchase of new equipment in both the roofing and sheet metal divisions designed to make SSM&RC more competitive. And finally, Mr. Erb has worked hard to develop a strong management team to help insure quality products and services for our customers.
In addition to running SSM&RC, Mr. Erb owns a grape farm on the banks of beautiful Keuka Lake and enjoys getting away to his farm with his family when ever possible.
